In 1981, there were 15,128 victims of domestic violence reported in Ohio, with 10,499 of these victims listed as wives.
Abstract
The month of June had the greatest number of calls, while December had the least. The total number of arrests was 7,833, or 13.4 percent of the calls reported. A total of 73.1 percent of the arrests were made under the new Domestic Violence Law. Data are given for domestic disputes by county and agency and in summary form for the major cities. Also included are explanations of Ohio's domestic reporting program, definitions, and methods of reporting, and a monthly summary form. Participating agencies, tables, and graphs are supplied.
