This fall 2013 issue of the OJJDP (Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention) Journal of Juvenile Justice contains eight research articles examining juvenile justice issues. The issues covered in this report are 1) The Impact of Juvenile Mental Health Court on Recidivism Among Youth; 2) Gender-Specific Mental Health Outcomes of a Community-Based Delinquency Intervention; 3) Predicting Recidivism Among Juvenile Delinquents: Comparison of Risk Factors for Male and Female Offenders; 4) Building Connections Between Officers and Baltimore City Youth: Key Components of a Police-Youth Teambuilding Program; 5) Internet-Based Mindfulness Meditation and Self-Regulation: A Randomized Trial with Juvenile Justice Involved Youth; 6) Assessing Youth Early in the Juvenile Justice System; 7) A Jury of Your Peers: Recidivism Among Teen Court Participants; and 8) Commentary: Place-Based Delinquency Prevention: Issues and Recommendations. The articles in this journal are part of OJJDP's efforts to support the infusion of evidence into policy and practice and to ensure that practitioners in the field have ready access to the latest juvenile justice research and evaluation findings.
