THE REPORT PRESENTS IN TABULAR FORM PROGRAM AND FISCAL INFORMATION ON ALL BLOCK, DISCRETIONARY, IMPACT, AND JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT GRANTS AWARDED IN OREGON FROM FISCAL YEARS 1969 THROUGH 1977.
Abstract
PROJECTS ARE GROUPED ACCORDING TO GEOGRAPHIC DISTRICT OR GOVERNMENT DIVISIONS (CORRECTIONS, MENTAL HEALTH, LEGISLATURE, EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT). FOR EACH PROJECT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED: PROJECT TITLE, PROJECT GOALS AND MAIN ACTIVITIES, OPERATING AGENCY, AND BUDGET PER EACH FISCAL YEAR. PROJECTS INCLUDE BOTH STUDIES AND SERVICE PROGRAMS. EXAMPLES ARE DRUG EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS, BURGLARY PATROLS USING TRAINED VOLUNTEERS, A RUNAWAY CRISIS SHELTER, A STUDY OF EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING, PUBLIC DEFENDER SERVICES, AND AN ANALYTICAL MANAGEMENT STUDY OF DOUGLAS COUNTY CIRCUIT AND DISTRICT COURT CLERK OPERATIONS. THE REPORT WAS COMPILED BY THE OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT COUNCIL, WHICH IS PART OF THE STATE PLANNING AGENCY. (CFW)
