Abstract
The ordinance is intended to be enforced in conjunction with the Narcotic Drugs (Punishments) Act of 1968 and the Act on the Control of Narcotic Drugs of 1992. Sweden's Medical Products Agency (MPA) is charged with establishing and promulgating a list of drugs to be regulated and with authorizing the import and export of drugs. Sweden's Board of Customs is also empowered to regulate drug import and export, in consultation with the MPA. The MPA can issue instructions regarding drug manufacture, trade, prescription, import, and export. In addition, the MPA sets fees to be paid by persons applying for or granted drug authorizations. A list of substances considered to be narcotic drugs is provided in an annex. 1 table
