THE EXTENT OF ORGANIZED CRIME AND CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN CONNECTICUT IS DISCUSSED; THE CREATION OF A STATEWIDE ORGANIZED CRIME INVESTIGATIVE TASK FORCE IS PROPOSED FOR A REMEDY.
Abstract
CONNECTICUT'S EXISTING CAPABILITIES FOR DEALING WITH ORGANIZED CRIME AND THE NEEDS AND PROBLEMS OF THE CONNECTICUT CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM ARE DISCUSSED. SPECIFIC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACTION ARE PRESENTED. PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS DEVOTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STATEWIDE ORGANIZED CRIME INVESTIGATIVE TASK FORCE (SOCITF).
