AUDIO-CASSETTE PRESENTATION COVERS SCOPE OF PRESENT PHILOSOPHY ON ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE AND THE RADICAL ORTHOMOLECULAR APPROACH TO THESE PROBLEMS.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR, AN ORTHOMOLECULAR PSYCHIATRIST, BELIEVES THAT THE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF MOST MENTAL DISORDERS ARE RELATED TO THE VARIATION OF SUBSTANCES NORMALLY OCCURING IN THE BODY, SUCH AS VITAMINS, MINERALS, AND HORMONES. PRASTKA SUGGESTS THAT IF RESEARCH ON ANIMALS IS ACCURATE, THE POTENTIAL FOR ALCOHOLISM AND DRUG ADDICTION WILL DECREASE AS THE PROPER PROPORTION OF VITAMINS AND MINERALS IS TAKEN INTO THE BODY. IT WILL INCREASE AS THE BODY IS ROBBED OF A PROPER PROPORTION, AND INSTEAD RECEIVES HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF SUGAR AND STARCH....BS
