Following a discussion of the incidence of parricide, changes in public perception and societal reaction to abused children who kill their parents are examined.
Abstract
Questions that have emerged from the author's review of the literature and research are listed. Research currently underway into adolescent murderers suggests that, to a large extent, society has a choice to perpetuate the problem of patricide and matricide or to contribute to its solution.
