Abstract
THE REPORT REVIEWS THE NEGOTIATING PROCEDURES IN A PRISON SETTING WITH EMPHASIS ON NEGOTIATION DURING A TIME OF CRISIS. THE INITIAL DECISION - TO NEGOTIATE OR NOT - IS DISCUSSED, AS ARE METHODS OF INCREASING THE CHANCES FOR CONSTRUCTIVE OUTCOMES, THE PARTIES AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES, ROLES OF THIRD PARTIES, HANDLING GRIEVANCES AND DEMANDS, AND CONCLUDING THE AGREEMENTS. ALSO EXAMINED ARE METHODS OF AVOIDING CRISES THROUGH NEGOTIATION STRATEGY, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS STRATEGY.
