Abstract
General vendors are those who peddle, sell, lease, or offers goods or services other than food at retail. Except for vendors of printed matter, general vendors must possess a photo license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs. The license color changes every year. When a police officer observes a vendor who is unlicensed or operating in violation of laws and regulations must take action based on the nature of the violation. Food vendors must leave a 12- foot path from the building line to the curb, must leave at least 20 feet between the cart and any entrance, and must place all items in or under the cart. Other specific regulations apply to art vendors, religious vendors, and disabled veteran vendors. Charts and illustration
