THIS STANDARD APPLIES TO VOICEMODULATED, NON-MULTIPLEX RECEIVERS WHICH EITHER DO NOT HAVE SPECIAL SUBSYSTEMS SUCH AS SELECTIVE SIGNALING OR VOICE PRIVACY, OR IN WHICH SUCH SUBSYSTEMS ARE DISABLED OR BY-PASSED DURING TESTING FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THIS STANDARD.
