EVALUATION OF A PROGRAM TO REDUCE SCARCITY OF PROBATION DEPARTMENT RESOURCES AND TO DEVELOP AN INFORMATION BASE ON WHICH DEPARTMENTAL PROGRAMS CAN BE BUILT.
Abstract
MAJOR EXTERNAL ACTIVITIES OF THIS PROJECT INCLUDE GRANT MANAGEMENT, PRIMARILY WITH LEAA, AND A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND TECHNICAL ADVISORY ACTIVITIES. THE MAJOR INTERNAL ACTIVITY IS DEVELOPMENT OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED INFORMATION DATA BASE; ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERAL MANUALS FOR DEPARTMENT STAFF AND JUDGES, RESEARCH, AND IMPROVEMENT OF COMMUNICATIONS WITH LINE STAFF. THIS REPORT REVIEWS THE UNIT'S PROJECT ACTIVITIES, OUTLINES THE EVALUATION PROCEDURES EMPLOYED, AND PRESENTS RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE PROJECT'S GOALS, PRIORITIES, ORGANIZATION, AND PROJECTED SUBGRANT ACTIVITIES.
