Abstract
THERE IS A REVIEW OF THE RESULTS FROM SPECIAL GRAND JURY INVESTIGATIONS ON MUNICIPAL CORRUPTION AND TRAFFIC IN DANGEROUS DRUGS. THE REPORT DETAILS THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE PROSECUTION AND FAMILY COURT DIVISIONS, THE INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION, THE APPEALS DIVISION, AND THE MOTIONS DIVISION. INTERESTING CASES WHICH WERE HANDLED BY THE DIVISIONS ARE SUMMARIZED TO DEMONSTRATE THE PROCESSES WHICH ARE INVOLVED IN A CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. INFORMATION IS PROVIDED ON THE CITY'S CRIME RATE, CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS, AND ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET, AND ON REFORMS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM WHICH WERE SUGGESTED BY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE.
