Abstract
THE STUDY FOCUSES ON THE INTERNAL CONDITIONS, PRACTICES, AND PROCEDURES OF THE POLICE PROPERTY CLERK'S OFFICE AND THE OFFICES OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS IN NEW YORK CITY. SPECIFIC RECOMMENDATIONS ARE PROVIDED AND DISCUSSED WITH RESPECT TO CORRECTING INEFFICIENCIES AND SPEEDING UP THE RETURN OF PROPERTY TO COMPLAINANTS.
