Abstract
The report indicates that the PCTC provided or approved correctional entrance-level training for 827 correctional officers, parole and probation agents, drunk driving monitors, and other correctional personnel in 30 separate classes. The PCTC also provided supervisor and administrator training to 118 police and 97 correctional supervisors and to 64 police and 31 correctional administrators in 20 programs. In addition, specialized instructor training was offered to 438 law enforcement and correctional personnel in 24 programs, crime prevention training was sponsored for 465 public safety personnel and citizens through the Community Crime Prevention Institute, and drug abuse training was provided to 35 police officers. The PCTC also provided training to 300 managers and executives as part of the Executive Development Program. Efforts were initiated to build a driver training facility, and the PCTC approved and monitored 16 programs at 11 different certified police academies that provided entrance-level training to 444 officers. The PCTC was additionally involved in selection and training regulations, inservice training, firearms qualification training, community crime prevention education, and police recertification training requirements. The report contains highlights of PCTC activities, brief descriptions of training programs, and a statistical summary of training programs. Data on the PCTC's budgeted appropriation and actual expenditures are tabulated. 6 tables and 1 figure
