Abstract
THE AUTHOR RELIES ON THE ARGUMENTS OF JOHN LOCKE, WHO EXPLAINED WHY FREE MEN FREELY CHOSE TO BE GOVERNED BY LAWS. USING THIS LOGIC, IT FOLLOWS THAT AN INCREASE IN POLICE AUTONOMY UNDERMINES POLICE AUTHORITY.
