This issue includes seven primary articles: 1) An Olympic Medal for Policing: Lessons and Experience from the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. This article examines effective police methods used by Canadian law enforcement during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. 2) Preventing the Theft of Dangerous Radiological Materials. This article discusses the problem of safeguarding dangerous radiological materials. 3) Secure Communities: Identifying and Removing Criminal Aliens. This article discusses a new approach to identifying and removing criminal aliens. 4) The Earthquake in Sexual Assault Response: Police Leadership Can Increase Victim Reporting to Hold More Perpetrators Accountable. This article discusses the importance of effective police leadership in improving the victim reporting rate in sexual assaults. 5) Proactive Patrolling through the Use of Patrol Scripts. This article examines the use of formalized crime and event data-driven patrol scripts for use by patrol officers. 6) The Right Fit: Choosing the Best People for Promotion and Special Assignments.
