This catalog provides information on all police research projects supported by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) since its inception in 1969 to the fall of 1981. Entries are arranged by year and grant number and include the project title, grantee organization, award date, project status, and brief project summaries.
Abstract
The entries also reference final products and any derivative works. A separate section of NIJ police contracts is included. The research covers such diverse subjects as police management, police resource use and deployment, forensics and technological developments, police performance, police women, police unions, and information systems. A subject, project title, and grantee index provide quick reference to grants. The appendix lists bibliographies on police-related topics produced for NIJ by NCJRS. Availability information is provided.
