DISCUSSION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AT THE INDIANA UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA.
Abstract
FIRST YEAR EMPHASIS WAS ON A FOUR-YEAR DEGREE PROGRAM. A TWO-YEAR ASSOCIATE PROGRAM IS BEING INVESTIGATED. CURRICULUM PROVIDES TRAINING IN LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION, SECURITY ADMINISTRATION, CRIMINALISTICS, CORRECTIONS, AND TRAFFIC ADMINISTRATION. AN OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAM IS PRESENTED WITH CATALOG DESCRIPTIONS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT COURSES. A POLICE INSTITUTE IS ALSO DESCRIBED CONCENTRATING ON SUPERVISORY TECHNIQUES, AND ARREST, SEARCH, AND SEIZURE.
