Abstract
Following general articles describing the interface between law enforcement and technology and management of technology acquisition, separate papers discuss red light/speed cameras, mobile satellite communications, RF radiation, computer identification systems, and mapping. Other technologies and techniques discussed at the conference include computerized facial reconstruction, nonlethal incapacitation, firearms simulation, CIE color coordinates, information technology, and fleet management. These technologies can be applied to police issues ranging from drug law enforcement to forensics, traffic management, telecommunications security, private security, and security of public places. Chapter references
