Abstract
IN THE TEXT, THE APPROACH TO JUVENILE JUSTICE IN THE UNITED STATES INVOLVES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM - COMMUNITY AGENCIES, SCHOOL, RECREATION AND WELFARE AGENCIES, CLINICS, FAMILIES, EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES AS WELL AS THE PARTICULAR JUVENILES AFFECTED. IN THEIR SYSTEMS-ORIENTED METHOD, THE AUTHORS BELIEVE THAT SUCCESS IS ACHIEVED WHEN ALL CONCERNED WORK TOGETHER, AND THROUGHOUT THE TEXT, THE AUTHORS EMPHASIZE DELINQUENCY PREVENTION WITH COOPERATIVE ENDEAVORS HIGHLIGHTING THE PRINCIPAL PROGRAMS DISCUSSED.
