CURRENT RESEARCH INDICATES THAT THE SILENT ANSWER TEST METHOD OF LIE DETECTION IS MORE RELIABLE THAN THE AVAILABLE ANSWER TEST METHOD.
Abstract
THE AUDIBLE ANSWER TEST PROCEDURE HAS INHERENT TESTING OBJECTIONABLE MOVEMENTS RESULTING FROM OR INCIDENT TO REQUIRED VERBAL RESPONSES. THE SILENT ANSWER METHOD REDUCES THOSE EFFECTS BY REQUIRING LESS EFFORT ON THE PART OF THE SUBJECT DURING THE TEST. POLYGRAPH CHARTS ARE PROVIDED TO ILLUSTRATE THE EFFECTS OF EACH METHOD.
