Abstract
PORT IS A COMMUNITY-BASED, COMMUNITY-SUPPORTED, COMMUNITY-DIRECTED TREATMENT FACILITY FOR CRIMINAL OFFENDERS AND JUVENILE DELINQUENTS IN ROCHESTER, MN. PORT PROVIDES AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THOSE MALE OFFENDERS WHO REQUIRE A GREATER CHANGE IN THEIR LIFESTYLES THAN PROBATION CAN ACCOMPLISH AND WHO, EXCEPT FOR PORT, WOULD END UP IN A PRISON OR TRAINING SCHOOL. FOR RELATED PORT DOCUMENTATION, PLEASE REFER TO NCJ NUMBERS 14365, 14367, AND 14368.
