Abstract
CONSIDERED ARE THE NATURE OF BURGLARY AND STRANGER TO STRANGER CRIME PROBLEM IN THE PORTLAND METROPOLITAN AREA, THE PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND APPROVAL PROCESS, AND PROPOSED - IMPACT PROGRAMS. PROGRAM AREAS COVERED ARE CRIME PREVENTION AND DETERRENCE, OFFENDER APPREHENSION AND DETECTION, SWIFT AND APPROPRIATE DISPOSITIONS OF CRIMINAL CASES, AND RECIDIVISM REDUCTION.
