SOME EXAMPLES OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR COURT USE ARE PRESENTED WHICH ILLUSTRATE VARIOUS LEVELS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN MAN AND COMPUTER IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS.
Abstract
A PROPOSAL FOR EXPERIMENTING WITH VIDEO TAPE AND COMPUTERS TO SOLVE MANY OF THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH LONG TRIALS IS ALSO DISCUSSED. THE BENEFITS OF REDUCING JUROR TIME REQUIREMENTS AND ELIMINATING OR SPEEDING RETRIAL ACTIONS IS PRESENTED. ADVICE IS GIVEN ON LIVING WITH AND AVOIDING PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH COMPUTER OPERATIONS.
