Abstract
The text emphasizes that relationships with defense counsel, other participants, the media, witnesses, and the police are crucial and will determine job satisfaction. An overview focuses on time management, interactions with others, starting the day in trial court, plea negotiations, bench warrants, documentation, the order of witnesses, and other central concepts. Additional chapters provide instructions regarding the prosecutor's role in the first court appearance of the accused, bail hearings, proof of specific offenses, other hearings such as preliminary hearings and coroner's inquests, character evidence, cross-examination, jury trials, and sentencing.
