REPORT OF A PROJECT THAT OFFERED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO DEVELOP A TRACKING SYSTEM TO MAINTAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE STATUS OF PARTICIPANTS IN A FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA, ALCOHOL SAFETY PROJECT.
Abstract
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS MARCH 1973, EFFORT WAS TO REVIEW BOTH THE EXISTING ASAP PROGRAM SITUATION, THE CURRENT STATUS OF PLANS TO DEVELOP AN INFORMATION SYSTEM, AND TO PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DEALING WITH IDENTIFIED PROBLEMS. IT WAS PARTICULARLY RECOMMENDED THAT DETAILED AND EFFECTIVE SAFEGUARDS BE ESTABLISHED WITHIN THE SYSTEM TO ENSURE THE MAINTENANCE OF PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF INFORMATION RELATED TO INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS. THE RECOMMENDED TRACKING SYSTEM SHOULD YIELD DISCREET WEEKLY OUTPUT TO SEPARATE ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENTS WITHIN THE ASAP SYSTEM. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
