Abstract
THE BOOK IS PLANNED ON A STEP-BY-STEP BASIS AND TAKES THE READER THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE OF INTERROGATION, FROM PRE-INTERROGATION PREPARATION, STARTING THE INTERROGATION, AND CLOSING THE INTERROGATION, TO THE TAKING OF A STATEMENT. IT IS MEANT TO TEACH AND EXPLAIN WHAT EACH ACT IN THE INTERROGATION MEANS, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT THE INTERROGATOR MUST DO IN PREPARATION FOR A SUCCESSFUL INTERROGATION. BY WAY OF EXAMPLE, AN ENTIRE CASE HISTORY IS PRESENTED AND EACH OF THE PRINCIPALS SUGGESTED IN THE BOOK IS TESTED UNDER ACTUAL CONDITIONS. THE CASE HISTORY IS DESIGNED TO SHOW HOW TO BEGIN THE INTERROGATION, CARRY IT THROUGH, AND CONCLUDE IT WITH A CONFESSION AND STATEMENT. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED) (SNI ABSTRACT)
