Abstract
H.R. 3684 would provide the correctional education system with needed funds amounting to up to $25 million per year over 3 years, mainly to States based on their incarcerated populations. H.R. 3362 deals with correctional industries and would set specific conditions such as the payment of a prevailing wage for such industries. Speakers included a State director of correctional education, the executive director of the American Correctional Association, the director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and a representative of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations.
