This article is one in a series of articles on how to produce a law enforcement training video from beginning to end.
Abstract
In order to provide the foundation needed to shoot, edit, and produce a law enforcement training video, this article was prepared as the first in a multi-part series on producing such a video. Before beginning the process, law enforcement must first determine if producing a training video is really necessary, as well as whether it is cost effective to produce one. One of the biggest expenses in producing a video is time. Three of the most important words when it comes to the video are shooting, editing, and production skills. Two essential steps to address are the need to clearly define the primary message of the video and the need to write a succinct purpose of what the video will do for the viewer. In summary, realistic planning will reduce the potential for confusion and add clarity to the entire video production project.
