This “Fact Sheet” developed by the U.S. Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) summarizes each BJA program deemed by BJA to benefit jails.

Abstract

BJA’s mission is to help America’s state, local, and tribal jurisdictions reduce and prevent crime and promote a fair and safe criminal justice system. BJA’s range of resources includes grants and funding, as well as training and technical assistance. The BJA programs summarized in this Fact Sheet are considered by BJA to be especially relevant to the management and performance of Jails.
