FINAL REPORT ON A DENVER PROJECT OT REDUCE DELINQUENCY RATES BY PROVIDING INTENSIVE POST ARREST SERVICES FOR YOUTHS IN THE AREAS OF FAMILY, EDUCATIONAL, AND PEER GROUP INTERVENTION.
Abstract
THE PROJECT WAS UNDERTAKEN IN RESPONSE TO THE HIGH RE-ARREST RATE AMONG JUVENILE OFFENDERS. THE EVAUALTION METHODOLOGY INVOLVED COMPARISON OF RE-ARREST RATES FOR 'TREATED' AND 'UNTREATED' YOUTHS. THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY REVEALED THAT THE REDUCTIONS IN RE-ARREST RATES RANGE BETWEEN FIFTY AND EIGHT-SEVEN PERCENT OVER BASELINE.
