DAYTON, OHIO'S TELEPHONIC LAW ENFORCEMENT PHASED ON-LINE ENCODING SYSTEM (TELEPHONES) WILL DECREASE TIME BETWEEN INCIDENT AND REPORT.
Abstract
THE PROPOSED TELEPHONE RECORDING SYSTEM UTILIZES AN ENDLESS LOOP TAPE RECORDER WHICH IS CAPABLE OF RECEIVING REPORTS FROM ANY TELEPHONE, RECORDING IT AUTOMATICALLY, UNATTENDED BY A HUMAN OPERATOR. THE SYSTEM GENERATES TYPED REPORTS AND A COMPUTER READABLE TAPE. THE PROPOSED SYSTEM IS COMPARED TO THE PRESENT SYSTEM, AND IMPLEMENTATION GOALS ARE STATED.
