Abstract
In his keynote address, "The Making of a National Commitment to Eliminate Child Abuse," David Cunningham, Director of the National Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse, emphasizes the importance of public awareness and prevention of the problem. Other topics included using homemaker services for child abuse and neglect cases; fetal alcohol syndrome awareness; developing an intergovernmental working agreement on child abuse cases; the public school's role in preventing child abuse; child assault prevention; treatment and intervention of the sexually abused American Indian child; stress management for Indian social service counselors; and finding homes for Indian children in an urban setting. Speakers, presenters, panelists, and participants are listed.
