It focused on legislation, public hearings of conferences, State plans regarding programs related to the issue of missing children, efforts to improve law enforcement information networks, and legislative action. Information was also collected regarding fingerprinting programs for school-age children, emphasis on the safety of children walking to and from school, leadership, and contact people for further information. State-by-State findings on each topic and addresses and telephone numbers of contact people and agencies.
