DESCRIPTION OF A STAFF DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM IN PROJECT RESEARCH AND EVALUATION CONDUCTED FOR THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE EVALUATION PERSONNEL IN THE DIFFERENT DELEGATE AGENCIES OF THE CRIME COMMISSION.
Abstract
ALSO INCLUDED IS A DISCUSSION OF PROJECT IMPACT OR EFFECT. THE TRAINING ACTIVITIES INVOLVED PARTICIPANT APPRAISAL AND RATING OF 29 EVALUATIONS PERFORMED BY OUTSIDE EVALUATORS, PLUS GROUP INVOLVEMENT IN THE ACTUAL EVALUATION OF TEN LEAA SUBGRANTS IN PUERTO RICO. BASED ON BEFORE AND AFTER DIAGNOSTIC TESTS OF PARTICIPANT KNOWLEDGE OF EVALUATION, IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THE PROGRAM HAD BEEN SUCCESSFUL. THE APPENDIX CONTAINS COPIES OF THE TRAINING DESCRIPTION, SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES, AND RELATED INFORMATION FOR THE TWO TRAINING SESSIONS HELD, THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR TRAINEES, THE EVALUATION PERFORMANCE STANDARDS USED TO RATE THE OUTSIDE EVALUATIONS, AND A GUIDE FOR EVALUATING PROPOSALS. --IN ENGLISH.
