ANALYSIS OF TYPES OF PRE TRIAL RELEASE, STRESSING THE BAIL REFORM ACT OF 1966.
Abstract
CONCERN FOR THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENTS HAS INCREASED DISSATISFACTION WITH SURETY BONDS AS A METHOD OF SECURING APPEARANCE AT TRIAL. RELEASE ON PERSONAL RECOGNIZANCE, WITH OR WITHOUT CONDITIONS, FACILITATES APPEARANCE, PROVIDES FREEDOM FOR THE ACCUSED, SAFETY TO THE COMMUNITY BY INDIVIDUALIZING REQUIREMENTS OF THE RELEASE, AND REHABILITATION FOR THE ACCUSED AT THE EARLIEST MOMENT IN THE JUDICIAL PROCESS.
