DISCUSSION OF THE DAYTON/MONTGOMERY COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE CENTER, AN ADULT INTERDISCIPLINARY EDUCATIONAL CENTER DESIGNED TO MEET THE PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF REGIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES.
Abstract
THIS SYSTEMATIC PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WAS DESIGNED TO FOSTER A SHARING OF IDEAS AND PROBLEMS AMONG THE POLICE, COURTS, CORRECTIONS, PUBLIC LEGAL SERVICES, AND THE COMMUNITY IN ORDER THAT JOINT SOLUTIONS CAN BE FOUND. THE CENTER HAS APPROACHED ITS GOAL ON FOUR SEPARATE YET RELATED LEVELS OF ACTIVITY - TRAINING AND EDUCATION, COMMUNICATIONS, CAREER PATHING AND DEVELOPMENT, AND SYSTEM CHANGE. THIS ARTICLE COVERS THE HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY, OBJECTIVES AND GOALS, AND PROGRAM DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF THIS CRIMINAL JUSTICE CENTER.
