ORGANIZATION, FINANCING, AND COORDINATION OF RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS WHICH STUDY CRIME CONTROL PROBLEMS, AND COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THEM AND STATE LEGAL ORGANS.
Abstract
A SOVIET CRIMINOLOGIST STATES THAT IN THE USSR THE INFLUENCE OF THEORY ON PRACTICE IN THE CONTROL OF CRIME IS CONNECTED NOT ONLY WITH THE ACTIVITIES OF ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS AND LEGAL ORGANIZATIONS, BUT ALSO WITH THE SYSTEM OF ECONOMIC PLANNING FOR THE COUNTRY AS A WHOLE. HE CONTENDS THAT THE RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS, WHICH STUDY THE NATURE AND DYNAMICS OF CRIME AND ITS CAUSES AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES, PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ANTI-CRIME PROGRAMS TO BE PLANNED ON DISTRICT, REGIONAL, REPUBLIC, OR COUNTRY-WIDE SCALE.
