Abstract
The scarcity of cross-cultural criminological research and theory can largely be explained by the relativistic propositions embedded in criminological treatises. A critical analysis of relativism in criminology reveals that the concept is poorly developed and understood and not a plausible barrier to cross-culturally derived generalizations. 3 notes, 52 references.
