A total of 719 youths were released from Wisconsin's juvenile correctional institutions in 1981, a decrease of 19 percent from 1980.
Abstract
Of these 719 youths, 658 were boys and 61 were girls. Of the 658 boys, 394 were first releases to aftercare, 76 were rereleases to aftercare, 157 were direct discharges, and 31 were discharged by court order. Of the 61 girls, 33 were first releases to aftercare, 2 were rereleases to aftercare, 16 were direct discharges, and 10 were discharged by court order. Tables present detailed data on all of the 719 releases.
