This report highlights the activities of the Massachusetts Attorney General for fiscal year 1993.
Abstract
The first section describes the operations conducted by the Criminal Bureau, which encompasses the Appellate Division, Special Investigations, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Public Integrity Division, Environmental Strike Force, Urban Violence Strike Force, Division of Employment and Training, Economic Crimes Division, Narcotics, and Organized Crime Division. The Family and Community Crimes Bureau is responsible for policy and program development in the four issue areas of children and youth, elders and disabled persons, family violence, and crime victims. The Public Protection Bureau is comprised of the divisions of Antitrust, Consumer Protection, Regulated Industries, Civil Rights, Environmental Protection, and Civil Investigations. Finally, this report summarizes cases prosecuted by the Government Bureau and the Criminal Bureau.
