During the year ending June 30, 1993, New Zealand's Department of Justice (DOJ) focused on organizational change and reform, asset re-evaluation, policy development initiatives, corrections and the prison system, the criminal justice system, and human resource development.
Abstract
The year-end report covers the DOJ's contributions to government outcomes and DOJ service performance concerning police advice, administrative and information services to the courts, services to parties appearing before courts and tribunals, custodial remand services to the courts, the administration of court sentences (imprisonment, corrective training, and sentences other than imprisonment), and the administration of final court orders. Divisional locations of the DOJ are identified, and financial information on department operations and activities is provided. Appendixes contain supplemental information on the administration of sentences and DOJ publications.
