Abstract
EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON STRATEGIES AND PROCEDURES THAT DETERMINE ULTIMATE DISPOSITION WITHIN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM RATHER THAN TRIAL PRACTICE TACTICS. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF ADDICT DIVERSION PROGRAM FEATURES THAT IMPACT DIRECTLY UPON THE ADDICT'S LEGAL RIGHTS AND LAYING DOWN SPECIFIC SUGGESTIONS FOR THE REPRESENTATION OF THE ADDICT DEFENDANT.
