This brochure discusses the RISS National Gang Program.

Abstract

The RISS National Gang Program, known collectively as RISSGang, is a comprehensive investigative tool consisting of an intelligence database, informational resources, and secure communications to aid in investigations that combat gang-related crimes. The RISS National Gang Intelligence Database provides law enforcement agencies with easy access to gang information including suspects, organizations, weapons, locations, and vehiclesas well as visual imagery of gang members, gang symbols, and gang graffiti. Information contained in the RISS National Gang Intelligence Database is compliant with 28 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 23, which includes guidelines for the submission, entry, security, dissemination, and purging of information stored in criminal intelligence systems.
