The goal of the Rocky Mountain Information Network (RMIN) is to help State and local criminal justice agencies in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming identify, target, and remove criminal conspiracies and activities spanning jurisdictional boundaries.
Abstract
Primary RMIN objectives are to encourage and facilitate the rapid exchange and sharing of information pertinent to known or suspected criminals and to enhance coordination and communication among agencies in the pursuit of criminal conspiracies determined to be interjurisdictional in nature. To accomplish its objectives, the RMIN has four distinct divisions: Administration, Analytical, Intelligence Research, and Field Services. Activities and accomplishments of the RMIN during 1992 are summarized that focus on the Regional Information Sharing System, law enforcement information needs, computer network modifications (hardware and software changes), and database management.
