Abstract
SITUATIONS IN WHICH NONLETHAL WEAPONS CAN BE USED, WAYS IN WHICH POLICE OPERATIONS MIGHT BE AFFECTED BY THE USE OF SUCH WEAPONS, AND THE POSSIBLE REACTIONS OF THE PUBLIC ARE POINTED OUT. VARIOUS EXPERIMENTAL NONLETHAL WEAPONS AND THOSE CURRENTLY IN USE ARE DESCRIBED.
