CRIME STATISTICS BROKEN DOWN IN VARIOUS WAYS TO INDICATE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CRIMES, THE OFFENDERS AND THE VICTIMS AND TO SHOW POLICE CRIME-FIGHTING ACTIVITIES.
Abstract
THE TOTAL NUMBER OF REPORTED CRIMES FOR 1972 IS GIVEN. THIS IS THEN BROKEN DOWN INTO STATISTICS ON SUCH THINGS AS CLEARED AND UNCLEARED CRIMES, THE AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL LOSS, WHETHER THE OFFENDER ACTED ALONE AND WHETHER A FIREARM WAS USED. FIGURES ON THE VICTIM'S AGE, SEX, EDUCATION, OCCUPATION, ALONG WITH OTHER DATA, ARE ALSO GIVEN. IN EACH OF THE ABOVE CASES, THE STATISTICS ARE FURTHER BROKEN DOWN TO SHOW THE TYPE OF CRIME INVOLVED AND THE NUMBER OF CASES OF EACH TYPE. STATISTICS ARE ALSO PROVIDED ON JUVENILES AS OFFENDERS AND VICTIMS, ON POLICE ACTIVITY IN FIGHTING VARIOUS TYPES OF CRIME AND THE NUMBER OF OCCURRENCES OF VARIOUS TYPES OF CRIME FROM 1968 THROUGH 1972. --IN GERMAN
