RAPES, MURDERS, DRUG ABUSE, THEFT, AND ARSON ARE BECOMING MORE COMMONPLACE. PROPERTY CRIMES ACCOUNTED FOR CLOSE TO SIX HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN DAMAGES TO SCHOOLS IN 1975. THE AUTHOR CALLS FOR FUNDING FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR YOUTHFUL SCHOOL OFFENDERS AND FOR INCREASED SCHOOL SECURITY.
