Abstract
ALL THE AUTHORS ARE LAWYERS WITH EXPERIENCE IN SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS. THEY EXPLAIN THE NEED FOR SCIENTISTS TO PARTICIPATE WITHIN THE LEGAL SYSTEM AND SUGGEST VARIOUS WAYS IN WHICH SCIENTISTS CAN BENEFIT ALL CONCERNED BY DOING SO. THE BOOK EXAMINES HOW SCIENTISTS CAN HELP COURTS REACH SOUND DECISIONS, LEGISLATURE ENACT SCIENTIFICALLY DEFENSIBLE LAWS, AGENCIES FUNCTION MORE COMPETENTLY, AND CITIZENS GROUPS AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS SERVE SOCIETY BETTER.
