Until recently, and in most office environments, security has been implemented in a piecemeal fashion.
Abstract
But the advent of 'office automation' puts security in a new light; unless definite action is taken, security may well be compromised and lessons will be learned the hard way. The solution to office automation security lies in efficient management. By applying the life-cycle approach to the office security program, safeguards can be incorporated in the most timely and efficient way. What is required are the established data processing solutions of good documentation, error detection and correction, and user awareness. Specific case histories are used to highlight what can be done. (Publisher abstract)
